The SÁEZ tower cranes with luffing boom are faithful to the philosophy of the company to produce only cranes with an excellent price-performance ratio, functionality, efficiency, flexibility and also long-lasting structures.

The cranes with luffing boom are designed to work in narrow spaces according to the requirements of the construction site, without affecting the safety procedures. The SL series cranes are most effective for sites where several cranes are needed to carry out the construction work, and where the individual working radii overlap, or due to the presence of governing regulations, regarding transporting loads on a site adjacent to another construction site.

Our SL product range includes the SL 240 model; with a boom of 60 meters, a lifting capacity of 2,300 kg at the tip of the jib and with a maximum 16t load capacity. The SL 240 also offers a modular system of jib parts which allow high flexibility on the job site.

Sáez cranes will also soon have their bigger sisters SL 310, SL 500 and SL700.The SL-series has a compact design and is easy to assemble; it has hoist motor systems that improve the lifting and lowering performance of loads; In addition they also have limitation systems, so that certain areas and lifting speeds are available for such work requiring more precision. The switchboards of the cranes are made of stainless steel and have electrical connections that are easy to assemble and dismantle.

The anti-loosening system of the lowering cable prevents the lowering cable from loosening due to strong headwinds, through its progressive torque control located on the winch.

The rotation of the crane is controlled also by a torque system which seeks at all times to apply the optimum torque depending on the inclination, wind speed and wind direction of the boom and seeks also an adjustment of inertia to achieve a smoother start and stop of the maneuver.

The software of the crane is intuitive and easy to use where the anti-collision system and the system of the range-limiting are optional. All systems are housed in an ergonomic cabin with panoramic view that meets all demands and requirements of the crane operator, which also assures risk prevention.

These cranes have the advantage where the modular tower parts are compatible with the parts used in SÂEZ tower cranes which, can be mounted to each other. The modular tower components are also light weight for the maritime transportation inside closed containers.

A crane with one-piece jib and steel wire ropes. Only loaded it works with compression and deflection. These are the most common cranes. In the past, they were known as cranes with heads. The wire ropes are fixed at these heads and hold the jib. There are cranes with one and two wire ropes.

Their main advantages are:
a) They need less space for their transport.
b) They enable a greater lifting capacity within the working area of the smaller jib pendant.
c) They reach higher freestanding heights because they have less structural volume exposed to the impact of the wind.

A modular jib which does not need wire ropes to be mounted and dismounted. The flat-top cranes are always in perfect condition of deflection and compression. They where designed and constructed for 40 years to resolve three principal problems:

a) The lack of big mobile cranes (200 tons, 300 tons, 400 tons,…) to achieve the mounting and dismounting of very heavy jibs (12 tons, 16 tons,…)

b) The complicated mounting on sites with limited space where it is impossible to position a crane with wire ropes. The modular jib can be mounted and dismounted in the air.

c) Sites with interference of various cranes: They have less height because they don’t have heads and wire ropes.

20 years ago, the construction of these cranes had nearly disappeared. Nowadays they have become modern again. Especially appreciated are the small and very big models of these cranes because they provide practical solutions in difficult situations. These days the high quality of steels and welding has facilitated their construction. The on-the-job safety and the convenience of mounting are important factors for the assemblers. The modular cranes are very economical for crane-hirers because the jib-heel sections are compatible and can be changed between different crane models.

Fast-erecting cranes Concept: Fast-erecting cranes can be mounted and dismounted with a single movement and their height and jib length is limited: the max. height is 30m and the max. the max. jib-length is 50m. The most common models have a jib-length from 18m to 32m. Their mounting and dismounting can be realized by using a hydraulic system which provides more safety and less maintenance.

In the past, these cranes were rather known because of its system of mounting and dismounting by wire ropes. Their advantage is their mobility. They can be transported easily due to their pneumatic wheels. These wheels can be set by using the appropriate auxiliary tools.

Therefore, its application is determined by an important reduction of mounting and dismounting costs. Its application for the construction and restoration of single homes brings about that these days models with mono-phase electricity are built. These cranes can be used on sites where it is impossible to use other machinery which provides a height solution in difficult conditions. between different crane models.

The climbing frame, as well as the bearings, beams and brackets form the set that ensures the correct transmission of the reactions and the efforts generated by the crane to the building’s wrought.
